Hamilton Golf Club - Results from Womens event held on 17/4/2024

60 women took part in the Hyslop McKellar Cup, aggregate stableford event, with the overall winners of this event being announced at presentation night.
Individual winners on the day were in A grade Sue Vickery 36pts from Jo Forsyth 35pts. B grade was won by Wendy Wathen 37pts from Jenny Fishburn 35pts. C grade saw an amazing individual score by Bec Small who finished with 47pts, taking 5 shots off her handicap. Runner’s up to Small was Joan Lewis with 35pts. Joan has made a welcome return to golf, it was great to see her collect a prize on her first Wednesday competition for a number of years. 
Balls down the line went to Robyn Holcombe 35pts, Rose Tonissen & Kerryn Price 34pts, Val Linke and Jeanette Carmichael 33pts.
Nearest the pin on the 3rd hole was Jeanette Carmichael  6th hole was won by Kerryn Price, 16th hole went to Dawn Cay, longest putt on 13th hole was Fran McMeel and second shot on the 15th went to Jeanette Carmichael.
Next Wednesday is our annual Rose Bowl event, with a great field entered.

Results from Hamilton Golf Club - Stroke - Mens and Women 6/4/2024
64 men participated in April monthly medal stroke round. The winner of April medal was Martin Pitts who had a day out, finishing with 73 (11) 62 nett, which included  four birdies and nine pars, what a fabulous score, the handicapper will taking some shots off Pitts after that round.  
Runner’s up in A grade was Jason Chandler 70 nett, with John Andrews taking third spot on 71 nett.
B grade was a close affair with a three way countback deciding the first three placegetters. Bevon Zimmermann won the countback from Brendan Lang and John Christie all finishing on 72 nett. 
Balls down the line went to Phil Schultz 71 nett, Graham Rentsch, Matt Hill and Eli Potts 73, Robbie Cunningham, Noel Jennings, Stephen Astbury, Stuart McAdam and Rob Vecchiett 74 nett, Shane Ryan, Cameron McDonald and Kynan Caruana 75 nett. 
Nearest the pin and superpin on the third hole was won by Noel Jennings, John Warden took out the 6th hole, the 13th went to Bruce Luhrs, 16th David Edwards, second shot on 9th was won by Warden and second shot on 15th went to Graham Rentsch. 
In the women’s field there were 22 players. Deirdre Simkin continued on her good form from Wednesday winning comfortable with a great score of 68 nett, runner’s up on a countback was Debbie Milne with 72.
Balls down the line went to Anne Ryan 72, Enid Smith 76 Rhonda Scullion 77, Jenny Fishburn &  Wendy Wathen 78 and  Vicki Anderson & Robyn Holcombe 79.
Nearest the pin on 3rd hole was won by Robyn Holcombe. While Rita Walkom had her eye in claiming nearest the pin on  6th and 16th holes and second shot on 15th hole.

Results from Hamilton Golf Club - womens competition 3/4/2024
48 women participated in monthly medal/stroke competition and it was great to see Marg King have a very good round to take out the April monthly medal finishing with 94 (22) 72 nett, Marg won the medal on a countback from Karen Payne, who has recently made a welcome return to golf. 
A grade winner Karen Payne 72 nett, runner’s up Molly O’Brien 73 nett.
B grade winner Marg King 72 nett, runner’s up Jenny Edwards 76 nett
C grade winner Deirdre Simkin 78 nett, runner’s up Lisa Murphy 82 nett.
Balls down the line Robyn Holcombe 74 nett, Tania Cullinane 75 nett, Lyn Satchell and Kath Hartwich 76 nett. 
Nearest the pin on 3rd hole Lyn Satchell, 16th Fiona Robertson, longest putt on 13th Fran McMeel and second shot on 15th Lyn Satchell.  Ath Archer proved too good on the putting green finishing with 26putts – she did manage to have two chip ins which helped.

Hamilton Golf Club - Results from Wednesday 27th March 2024

The women played a gentsome’s event today, team of three and there were some fabulous scores. The winning team was Di Raymond, Margie Hadley & Leanne Rhook with 99pts, runner’s up was Tania Cullinane, Chantal Butcher & Lisa Murphy 98pts, third spot went to Sue Walter, Karen Payne & Bev Tyson 96pts, fourth was Fiona Robertson, Carolyn Lewis and Liz Nichol 92pts and fifth went to Lyn Satchell, Rhonda Scullion & Jo Brown 91pts.

Nearest the pin on 3rd hole was won by Anne Ryan, 6th hole was won by Rita Walkom, 16th went to Lyn Satchell, second shot on 15th Karen Payne and longest putt on 13th Deb Pinniger.
